Negative Slide Effect
The slide has created a bit of a problem. The girls get so excited and so busy running, climbing and sliding in circles they completely forget to go to the bathroom until it’s too late. Kind of annoying. Hopefully we improve. It’s not a whole lot different than when I first got my kegerator, but […]
Pumpkin Patch
If you haven’t seen them, pictures from this weekend’s trip to the pumpkin patch are up here. They’re all pretty cute, since the girls were wearing nearly matching outfits. After rounding up some pumpkins, they headed to Isaac’s (Abigail’s favorite) for lunch. – b
5.11s
When I was climbing 10 years ago, I got to the point where I was comfortably climbing 5.11s in the gym. Climbing routes are rated on difficulty by a scale that starts roughly around 5.4 and goes up to about 5.15. If you want to get tricky you can add A, B, C, D… to […]
Oooops!

Typical Conversation As of Late
Lauren or Abigail in a terrified manner says, “Bear (or big wolf) comn’!” Me, trying to protect and teach say, “There’s no bears or wolves anywhere near here and if there were, they wouldn’t be coming in the house with the dog around.” Then Lauren cocks her head to the side with a great big […]
Halloween Teeth
Who knew what was so much fun as a kid could be as much fun when you’re own kids did it? The cutest part was the uncontrollable drool that eventually dripped down the fronts of their shirts. – b
PB&J
Luckily our kids are not allergic to peanuts, but their cuteness is contagious. That’s a lot of hair clips Abigail. Then Lauren says, “You need a lot of hair clips when you’re eating PB&J Dad.” – b
The Pellet Game
The fall “shoulder season” has started and we’re testing pellets. First up is a batch I bought from Lowes last year called Cheat River Hardwood Pellets. So far they’re ok considering their price of $4.38/bag. I haven’t done any temperature tests on them, but have noticed a significant amount of ash in the ash pan. […]
