Resurrection
Though this is the time of birth, I'm working on a little resurrection.
Somehow the chain on my commuter completely rusted itself solid while I wasn't using it. Sure I could throw a new chain on, but I'd likely have to replace the ring up front and the cogs out back. When the point of the commuter is near zero cost, that kind of repair just isn't happening.
I realized after pouring the used motor oil all over it, I should have used kerosene. The oil, I think, will just make it black and oily without cutting the rust. I'll give it a few hours and hope the osmosis powers of oil do the trick.
