Inaccuracy
The thermometer I've been using every morning before rides currently says this
After some discussions at work today, I threw this thermometer outside for confirmation
So I guess it wasn't 15 degrees when I headed off to work this morning. Probably wasn't 23 when I headed off for my ride yesterday morning either.

first I am glad you figured that the temps were off. I read yesterday. 20 ain't bad but below ten is.
Second yes you are a little sadistic to ride, but not crazy
third call me crazy but I opt for full boarding pullover jacket and nice warm hat. I leave the helmet at home. You should be handed a nice gin martini when you walk thru the doors to work.
