Avalanche!
Went over a week with zero solar production. The last big storm was big enough and the temps cold enough to keep all that snow up there.
Yesterday that changed.
With the temps in the upper 30’s and the constant rain, the majority of the snow decided to come down.
All at once.
You can see where I had the sidewalk shoveled. Now no more.
Yeah. That’s probably some kind of liability. Though it didn’t damage the little crappy sidewalk lights. I suppose if they survived a human would be ok – a little shook up, but ok.
It did take out some of the gutter guards.
That’s upsetting.
That’s 2 stories up and I’ll have to wait till the snow clears enough to get up there with a ladder.
I wonder how long it will be or how big the snow has to be before the gutters rip off? Or worse, we get some kind of ice damming between the panels and they’re popped off their mounts?
Better not to think about such things I guess. Like a sign said we saw last night “In 6 months it will be 90° F”. Then we’ll be producing all kinds of clean positive power and not thinking these negative thoughts.
