More Autonomy

I’m always saying I can’t wait for more autonomy with the kids (yes. I know I’ll regret it later), and with the move to the big girl bed, I think it’s finally starting to show.

We held off longer than most fearing Abigail would never sleep, constantly be getting up and constantly coming to our room.

It hasn’t been like that at all.

Sure there were 1 or 2 nights where she ended up in our bed or came in asking that we let her in. There were also a couple of late night assisted potty trips, but mostly she’s taking care of things on her own.

She’s getting up and going to the bathroom by herself. She’s getting up in the morning by herself. She’s taking care of her night time needs herself and it’s really nice.

We should have done this sooner.
