That Spoiled Milk Smell

Leaving the orchards with our next batch of milk, the rear of my car broke loose through the slush between the parking lot and the road. When it got traction again, the sideways momentum of the car suddenly stopped as the milk crates kept going.

Crash!

The awful sound of broken glass.

I didn’t even stop.

There was too much snow/slush everywhere to bother.

I had no idea how many were broken – just that sinking feeling that my car was really going to smell in a few days.

When I got home, this is what I found.

Only one of the bottles broke and most of it was caught in the mat.

But some did get into the carpet.

What to do?

The temps outside are in the teens. It’s night and Grandma was headed home leaving me with the kids until Jen got home.

Not really conducive to cleaning spilled milk.

I suppose I could pull it in the garage. The temperature there is 30. I could use the shop vac and try to get some of it up.

But I’m tired.

I’ll regret it, but I’m really tired.
