Our Nights
At least as I think I remember them.
I swear I feel like we’ll all be sick forever.
Last Night
- Got Lauren to bed by 8 pm.
- Got Abigail down by 8:45 pm.
- Abigail got up twice before 9:30 pm claiming she had to go potty, when in fact she did not. Unfortunately we still cave to these requests because 1 in 7 times she does actually go potty though we always go or try to go before going to bed.
- Abigail finally falls asleep around 10 pm.
- 12:30 am Abigail wakes up saying she has to go potty. Go to get her and find out she already has. Change Abigail. Change her sheets, then find out she and Mom are asleep in our bed.
- 2:30 am Lauren wakes up for her bottle. Not going to argue. She’s sick. I’m tired. Five minutes for a bottle is a lot easier than 2 nights ago.
- 5:30 am Lauren wakes up again. Mom goes to nurse her. Abigail wakes up. Abigail wants to be with Mommy. Mommy sends her back to bed with me. She cries, coughs and whimpers for the next hour about how sick she is. I can’t do anything to console her or get her back to sleep.
- 6:30 am I give up and we get up to find Mom and Lauren up too.
The Night Before
- Got Lauren to bed by 8 pm.
- Got Abigail into bed by 9 pm.
- Abigail doesn’t fall asleep until around 10 pm.
- 12:30 am Lauren wakes up and Mom goes to nurse her.
- 1:00 am Lauren is screaming bloody murder. I go to help. Snot suck her nose and we all get back to sleep by 1:30 am.
- 4:00 am Lauren wakes up for a bottle. Not going to argue. She’s sick. I’m tired. Five minutes for a bottle is a lot easier than the last night.
- Everyone sleeps until 7:30 am. Scramble around for an hour to get Abigail ready and out the door by 8:30 am for school.
Two Nights Ago
- Don’t remember what time kids got to bed. Probably between the 8 and 9 pm time frame.
- 4:00 am Lauren wakes up. Mom goes to nurse.
- 4:30 am Lauren falls asleep on Mom. Mom puts her to bed. She wakes up screaming for more. Mom says good night and leaves.
- Lauren screams for an hour.
- 5:30 am I get up and give her a bottle. She’s devastated, but drinks the bottle and goes back to bed.
- Lauren sleeps until 8 am.
