Dad & Daughter Day

With the truck running and inspected again, it was time to get some truck stuff done.

First on the list was hauling all the old deck planks off to the dump.

In addition I grabbed whatever old/treated lumber and some pallets I had laying around. No point in keeping all that crap in my yard when there’s a perfectly good dump down the road.

Peanut was pretty cute of course.

Surprisingly I had a little over 1 ton of wood. The weigh-master was impressed.

Home and empty, we filled up with lunch then loaded up what we needed to get the motorcycle from the shop (inspection time).

Poor little trailer. It got more than its fair share of abuse this weekend/summer.

What I can’t believe is this is the same truck my dad got while I was in high school. Some of my earliest memories of it are hauling band members around to various houses in the neighborhood at Christmas to play carols. Now my daughter’s playing in it. Who would have thought so many years ago?
