Winter Cabin Trip
Feb. 6 - 8, 2009

We started our afternoon adventure by driving up to the view we had visited this summer. It's one of the better vistas in the valley.

We took some group shots.

More group shots.

And a shot of Jeff with a beer in his hand in the middle of the day.

Then we found a place to play. It was some kind of pull off area along side the road that was banked. Somebody had been driving up and down the banks, so we figured we would give it a try.

It took a couple of tries to get the right speed, but eventually Bill got up the first one. It was all tricky as there were trees all around.

The second one we tried was much steeper and had less room between the trees.

This sort of gives an idea of the steepness.

When Bill finally got over it, he had enough speed to put the front end into the air. You can see me jumping out of the way. I had no idea which way he'd go with all that momentum.

After the play hills we continued to drive around for a while. We even got lost a little bit, but it was all good. We were enjoying the drive through the cold snowy woods.

Back at the cabin it was time for dinner. Here's Kurt and Bill putting together our croissants.
