Lobstah Armada

Traveling back in time…

Labor Day weekend we got a bunch of friends together for a float down the Brandywine.

The obvious vision was lots of families, lots of water play, and lots of fun.

Check out the fish under Abigail’s boat.

After the paddle we headed back to the house for a lobster feast.

While in Maine this summer, we found a place we liked that shipped lobsters overnight. We ordered 12 and all 12 survived. Delicious and successful!

Room Redecorate

Jen told the girls when they hit ages 6 and 12 (more likely 14), they could get a room do-over.

Abigail’s 6, so here we go.

Pink!

Furniture is coming Thursday. Still working out the curtains, but it should all be done soon.

Rain Finally

For those in the north east this isn’t news.

Just a reminder to myself when I look back over the years that the summer of 2016 was desperately dry. Last I remember it being this dry was around 2003, but can’t remember for sure.

Date Night

Yummy…

Went to the Movie Tavern for dinner during a movie last night. Not sure I’m a fan. Felt more like everyone’s living room.

Saw Sully. Pretty good flick.

Mush Brain

Working too much.

Traveling too much.

Not enough rest.

Not enough down time.

I understand now why/how entertainers often suffer from “exhaustion” when on the road for significant periods of time. Not saying I’m to that point, but I understand how they get there.

Unfortunately our fiscal year roles at the end of the month, and the travel budget will again be full. So will be my schedule.

That Special Smell

Lauren dropped a bottle of milk downstairs a couple of weeks ago…

Sometimes its awfully ripe in that part of the hallway. Debating removing the rug, but not really ready for that project.

Maybe it will just go away?

Black Belt Club

Abigail got promoted to Black Belt Club

After a specified amount of time, dedication, and performance, students get promoted from the introductory class to Black Belt Club. It doesn’t necessarily mean a belt change, but it is an environment  more focused on instruction, coaching and competitive Jiu Jitsu practices.

Obviously she was super excited, and is doing very well.
