Abigail had her bottom teeth pulled. She no longer has her two center adult bottom teeth coming in behind her two center baby teeth i.e. shark teeth.
She did great, and made out well with the Tooth Fairy.
I have pictures, but Jen said I should refrain from sharing.
I think she looks even more like kid now with her incongruous smile.

But not much. More sleet than snow really.
Just when I thought winter was over, it came back for a little bit, which is fine.
We like winter.
We got to ski a little more. Climb a little more.
It was very odd going from some weeks in February being 60°, then experiencing a week in March that was barely 30°.
Oh well. Time to move on, and relay all the adventures we had while it was here.

And some kind of head cold. I guess it never really left from 2 weeks ago.
Coughing, sneezing, headaches and walking into things is no fun.

A night with an inch or two of snow, some cold days in a row, and you have a weekend of decent early March skiing.
The girls and I went up Sunday to give Mom a day to prepare for her consignment sales. The snow was great. The prices were discounted. It was perfect.
Lauren went without her tip clip again and did awesome. We decided she was better learning on her own at this point. I was just stressing her out trying to get her to manage all the right things. She knows what they are. She just needs to keep practicing.
Abigail was just all over the place.
She was skiing through the woods and around trees (Lauren was too, but I didn’t get a picture of that).
But the big feat of the day was Abigail going down a black diamond twice by herself.
She wanted to do it. Lauren wasn’t ready, so off she went. Twice!
Considering the weather we’re supposed to get this week, we’re hoping to go back this weekend as well.

Hadn’t had a spell of vertigo in quite some time.
A week or so ago I went to bed with something that felt like vertigo, but woke up with something I think is more like a migraine.
Luckily it was only serious for a day. After that it resembled more of a head cold or light vertigo.
Yesterday I woke up with the same feeling. Less vertigo, more migraine.
I say migraine, yet I’m not sure what that’s really like. I definitely have an acute sensitivity to stimulation. Too much noise, light, motion, activity, etc really stresses me out. There’s some dizziness involved, but I think it’s completely secondary to just wanting to be alone in a quiet place.
Unfortunately it hit yesterday when I went skiing with the girls, and took me a while to realize what was going on. Some ibuprofen and simple concentration on the slopes helped.
Today it’s back and being at work isn’t helping.

Here are some better shot of Jen’s room re-orgs.
“New” spare bedroom.
“New” office.

Jen passed her second white belt Jiu Jitsu stripe test Friday night. Two more stripes and a belt test and she’s a blue belt.
I’ve pretty much given up on Jiu Jitsu. Too much traveling and too many other hobbies for me to be concerned with.

We have a pair of hawks that have taken up residence in or around our yard.
I have not seen them take any of the birds from the feeder, but they’re eating plenty of worms from the ground.
Almost daily we see them.
Can’t tell what they are. Likely Coopers hawks, but possibly juvenile Red Tails (or Sharp Shinned or Goshawk). Identification between them is difficult (for us) if they’re not in flight. In flight they have very distinct wing patterns. Since the only flight we’ve been seeing is from a low branch to the ground, there’s not much opportunity.
We’ll keep you posted. Maybe they can help with the explosion of rabbits since the neighbors moved away with their cats.

Jen has been on a tear to get the two bedrooms downstairs into some kind of functional order. She started by first clearing them out of extraneous junk (now it’s in the garage and pending permanent removal), then moved what was the bedroom furniture in the small room to the bigger room. Instead of moving the office furniture from the bigger room to the smaller, we got smaller office furniture and a treadmill for the smaller room. Essentially we now have a nice spare bedroom with bed, dressers, chair and a small office/workout room, which better matches their size to their functions.
The treadmill (and other office aspects) is still a work in progress. The goal is to make it like a treadmill desk, so that we can exercise while “working” – whatever that may be. You can see the clear plastic “shelf” that’s on it now for laptops/etc. It’s not ideal. I’m going to make a removable shelf that sits over the entire thing for devices. We also got an inexpensive flat screen to mount on the wall in front of it for PC connectivity or just entertainment. I managed to get that all installed, but it was too dark for a photo. I’ll post again with that.
There’s a similar setup at work, but often it’s broken, occupied or not convenient to use. Having our own and the opportunity to work from home more (kids in school) makes this kind of exercise more feasible. Yes it’s true. We’re getting older, exercise is harder to come by, and when we don’t get it – it shows.
I’ll post more as it progresses.
As I said we also got some smaller office furniture too. Had to go to work for that. There were some leftover desks and we were allowed to take one.
In addition I fixed the throttle on the Suzuki. It was a cold March winter day, so I brought the bike inside to fix.
When I had adjusted the exhaust port for performance gains, I accidentally dropped the bike on the throttle side. That broke the throttle tube (i.e. grip). I replaced it, but not correctly so it was sticking. It’s all fixed up now. There was talk of the girls trying it in the snow yesterday, but ultimately they decided not too. Oh well. It’s good to go now when the weather gets nice again.
