Arroz Con Gandules

This past Sunday we went to Jen’s aunt Neti’s house for a family get together. Neti had been practicing her Arroz Con Gandules (a Puerto Rican rice and bean dish) all week. Jen’s Grandmother used to make it for us all the time. This was the first time since she passed away we would have it. Here’s everybody checking it out.

Suppose I should have gotten a shot of it, so everyone would know what I’m talking about. Eh. Too bad. To my non expert tastes, it was delicious.

The other good part was playing pass the baby. Everybody loves to hold and play with the baby, so we just hand her off.

Then Jen’s cousin’s son, Chase (that would be Abigail’s second cousin?) showed up and it was a whole new activity of little kids playing.

More like big kids playing with their little kids.
