Was Sorry for the Second, Now Sorry for the First

The first couple of years after Lauren was born I felt bad for her because the second child never really gets the same kind of one-on-one attention the first got. The first one gets all eyes all the time. When the second comes around, your eyes are going every which way and they don’t get quite the same experience

Though…

After going through all first time parenting head-aches (not going to bed, tantrums, etc.) with Abigail, Lauren gets the benefit of older, wiser, more patient parenting. Something I’m sure Abigail wished she had at times.

I suppose in the end they’ll be about even and there’s nothing wrong with that.
