Inside Out and Tacoed
Rode last night.
Conditions were awesome. Everything had that dark wet misty feel to it.
Parts of the ride were with the old group. Those parts hurt. Those are the parts where I turned myself inside out. Those were the parts where it hurt too much to be embarrassed my knee warmers no longer fit and fell about my calves like old lady nylons.
That’s also when I tacoed my front wheel. I was going down one of the short steep drops on Lander Express (Dad, you know the trail I’m talking about.) and went over the bars. Not sure if the fooding of my wheel was the result of going over the bars, or it was the other way around. Either way, we “fixed” the wheel much like the video link above and kept riding. It was better to ride a wobbly wheel then not ride at all.
Gretchen’s paw should be healed soon. Maybe I can ride some more.
