Bonehead
More like batteryhead.
I took my other battery to work today to use on my commute home. This was the same battery that died on me last week during Wed. night’s ride. I wanted to make sure it was actually charged this time before using.
Charging was fine. Took a while, but it charged.
Only problem was I forgot the extension cord to put the battery in my bag and still have it connected to my helmet.
Without the cord, I had to devise another way.
A coworker offered me a ride home, but I’m a stubborn problem solver.
Plus, he admitted he only wanted to make sure I didn’t get creamed so he wouldn’t have to take responsibility around the office.
Putz.
Anyway. I solved it.
I had some extra straps in my bag.
Extra straps? WTH?
It’s an Eagle Scout thing. It’s just that way.
Anyway. I used the straps to secure the battery to my helmet.
Holy crap was that heavy!
Good thing the commute’s short.

ps. before I found the straps, I actually had a roll of packing tape I’d found in the office. Somehow I was going to tape the snot out of that thing and make it home. Thankfully I found the straps.
