We headed back to the mountain yesterday in another snow storm.

Conditions were near perfect for experienced skiers – couple of inches of fluffy powder piling up everywhere – but a little tough for the little ones.

Abigail couldn’t really practice her parallel turns in the fluff, but had fun bombing through them anyway. Lauren, who skied almost entirely on her own and down some intermediate slopes as well, was bound and determined not to crash at all after last week’s face plants. She refused to pick up any speed whatsoever, but instead remain entirely in control and smoothly turning back and forth – all – the – way – down – the – mountain. It was painful. So much so, I took her on the intermediate slopes hoping it would speed her up. Nope. She managed the same sense of control and calm on the steeper slopes too. Good for her!
