More Work Not Enough Play

Not a statement against what had to be done, just a general observation…

Grandma got herself some fancy new washing devices about a month ago.

Unfortunately the knuckleheads that installed them screwed up and she really hasn’t been able to use them.

After about two hours of work and a trip to the hardware store, I think I got her fixed up.

She didn’t have a “proper” washing machine drain, so they tried to mount it into the wash basin as before. Maybe the pressure on the new machine is more, but the sink didn’t work out. I plumbed a new and “proper” drain for her. Hopefully it works and the drain doesn’t blow all over the laundry room again.

Also had to re-run the dryer vent, as they screwed that up as well.

How do these guys stay in business? Hell. How do they sleep at night?

Speaking of screw ups, I loaded up the last bit of concrete and block that the tree guys destroyed in her yard. There was an old outdoor fire place thingy in her yard. When the tree guys were there taking down the 8 trees, they took down the fire place thingy too.

My fancy new car works pretty well as a wheelbarrow.

Maybe if it’s not too cold, I’ll get to ride bikes with my girls next weekend. Or at least go for a fall hike.
