Solar Update
It’s been a while since I’ve done one of these.
The power company changed my meters back in October and set my calculations all out of whack. Never really felt like doing much about it until now.
As you can see, and probably expect, this year’s production and the end of last year is/was below our average so far. The simple explanation for this is snow.
When the panels are covered with snow, they don’t generate electricity as you can see for most of February.
Sort of unrelated, I’ve also been capturing temperature data from a local NOAA weather station around the corner from our house.
Yes, we all know it was colder than normal, but for me seeing a visual representation of the temperature from one year to the next is somehow entertaining. No doubt that’s weird, but no less weird than studying the stats of some athlete that has 0 impact on your life.
