Peddle Progress

Abigail managed to start herself on her bike today. She did it a few times, and pedaled around the oak tree to head herself back down the driveway.

It wasn’t without controversy of course.

She has a tendency to say things like “I can’t”, when what she really means is “I don’t want to”. I’m not a fan of such things. Kind of brings out the Tiger Mom in me. Anyway we got through it, she started by herself a handful of times then as a reward chose to ride her sister’s bike with the training wheels.

She likes the fact that she can make tighter u-turns on the her sister’s bike. She doesn’t quite have the balance and momentum to do it on two wheels, which is fine. It will come. She’s made so much progress already. Hell even Lauren is doing better pedaling and steering her bike, though she’s no where near as fast as she is on her balance bike.
