And More Yardwork
Got a late start today because of swimming. Only managed 3 hours at Grandma’s.
We decided after the first hour to stop pulling limbs from the way back backyard and rent the big chipper to do all that is back there. The next two hours we worked on the little limbs littering the rest of the yard – at least the parts close to the house. Jen filled about 12 yard waste bags with limbs and stuff. I ran the little chipper.
In the end, the little chipper ran us about the same cost as the big chipper, we still need to have about 7 trees taken down, and we really don’t feel like we got anywhere.
Worst of all, I hardly saw my kids all weekend.
We’ll go back in two weeks with the big chipper and try to get the rest cleaned up. Hopefully without all the riff-raff lying around, the estimate to bring down the trees and clean that up will be somewhat cheaper.
Needless to say, I’m not really a fan of white pines.
