Vacation

We got a view of this last summer when we went to Maine with Abigail. After a week in the Poconos, I’m totally convinced.

Vacation with your infants/toddlers is not vacation.

Vacation is laying on a beach somewhere half unconscious.

You can’t do anything half unconscious with toddlers/infants.

Vacation now is just time spent with the kids when the rest of the year is spent at work.

Don’t get me wrong. I’m ok with it. Just needed to recalibrate my expectations.

Now I sit around thinking how crazy it is we have to “take time” to spend a week with our kids.

What could be so important that we only get a week or two here and there to spend fully with our kids?
