Speed Nesting

Some time ago (2 weeks maybe?), I had a last minute trip to California.

A few days before I was to leave, Jen had some pretty serious contractions.

That meant everything had to get done right away before I left.

In a snow storm I picked up the new furniture.

11pm Sunday night I was hauling the crib in and the old bookshelf out.

The dresser, which I hauled in earlier that afternoon, quickly became Abigail’s “house” for the moment it sat in the kitchen.

The new baby wasn’t the only one getting new things. Needing the smaller car seat for the infant, Abigail was graduated to the next size up.

I swear the safer these things are, the harder they are to use.

And if I haven’t posted it already or you didn’t notice in the first picture, the new trim and bead-board is basically done in the nursery.

It’s not perfect by any means (or technically finished for that matter), but it’s close enough for now.
