Sunday Hike

Got out for a hike yesterday afternoon. Abigail, Gretchen and I met Sean and Yoshi at Harmony Hill for a little over an hour of hiking.

The dogs did great. They were definitely happy to see each other again. Without Gretchen, I don’t know that Yoshi’d ever have another dog willing to play with her.

Abigail did great too. All except the last 10 min. or so she rode quietly and contently in the backpack. I think she liked watching the dogs chase each other and run through the woods.

The last 1o minutes were rough. She wanted out and started screaming. She’d had enough and got pretty cold just riding along.

Back at the car she was happy, but Dad was freaking out. Somewhere along the way she dropped her baby. Without “baby”, our world at home would most certainly collapse.

As Sean was heading out, I picked her up, grabbed Gretchen and headed back down the trail from which we just came.

Sure enough, not far along, we found “baby” lying alongside the trail. Apparently during the screaming fest “baby” was dropped without mention.

That’s three hikes in one week for The Peanut.

Gonna have to start looking at gear options if this keeps up.
