Watching the Game
At some point this summer Abigail picked up on our references for milk or preparing a bottle for her.
See we warm up a bottle of milk (via boiling water on the stove) and give it to her throughout the day. At whatever point it was time for this we’d ask or notify each other that we were getting “the beverage” or preparing “the M-I-L-K”.
Not that she learned to spell, but she figured out the sounds meant what she wanted and would freak out.
Having to boil the water then let it sit to warm the milk takes time. Time Abigail wasn’t willing to give when she heard that “M-I-L-K” was happening.
So we came up with a pass code of sorts.
Now we inform each other that we’re “getting tickets to the game”, or “watching the Phillies play” – something to that effect.
So far she hasn’t caught on.
If she does, we’ll have to come up with something else.
Maybe we’ll use drug references, serial killers, or something?
Scratch that. Considering the monitor is left on half the day, we should probably refrain from such illicit topics at least for our legal security.
