When it Rains…

Trees fall down.

Awesome.

I have no idea when I’ll get to that. Maybe I won’t. It’s in the back corner of my yard. I can’t even see it from the house – not until the leaves drop.

Wouldn’t be the first tree I let lie after a fall.

Eh. That one bugs me. Need to get back and clean that up when the poison ivy finally dies off of it.

So the big news that everyone’s waiting for is  How Did the Basement Fair in the Flood?

Basement did just fine. All my floors are dry. None of the cracks even leaked.

What’s interesting is what happened on the walls.

The “official” word is to not refinish your basement after such a job for at least a year. Now we see why. How I’m going to handle this when I do refinish it I haven’t figured out yet, but at least I know what I’m dealing with.

Abigail has some ideas.

She says she and Mommy are just gonna paddle their way out of here.

Smart kid that stinker.

Glad to see your basement didn’t flood. We found an inch or so of water in ours this morning. I guess that’s easier than cleaning up a downed tree. I hear rte 30 in D-town is under water right now.
