My Precious
Abigail hates naps. She pretty much hates sleeping in general. Why she’d rather cry to no end than sleep, is beyond me.
Saturday morning I got out for a ride with my friend Buddy at Downingtown. The original plan was to do both Downingtown and Marsh Creek. Considering the time of year, the cold and the fact we were parked in the Victory parking lot, we decided doing only one and having lunch at Victory was a better idea.
Of course lunch means beers. Beers this time of year means Storm King Stout cask conditioned. Mmmmmmmm, smooth creamy beer.
After a big ride, lunch and some beers, I was pretty much done for the day. Done except to play with Abigail!
Jen had some errands to run and things to do, so Abigail and I took to playing and crawling all about the house. For more than two hours we crawled from one room to the next, sorted her important papers, looked at catelogs and books and climbed around the couches. Finally during one of her Daddyneering expeditions (where she climbs all over me) she climbed up on my chest and laid her head down on my shoulder.
For a kid that never wants to nap/sleep, that was the cutest thing.
She was done, tired, tuckered out. I took her back to her room and put her down for a nap, albeit a short nap, but a nap none-the-less.
Nothing like a day with a great ride, good friends, food and a nap.

Which one did you guys choose? I rode down the stubble and didn’t see you. Saw your cars, so I hit Harmony Hill area. Bumped into Steve Duckenfield and a bunch of other guys from work, but not sign of you. Went back to the V lot at 10:45 and decided just to head back home. It was quite a cold day. I was out for 3.5 hours. Strubble was the coldest part.
We did the standard Dtown loop. We saw Duckenfield on the top of black/white. He said you were at the bottom. By the time we got down there, there was no sign of you.
Sounds like we made the right choice avoiding the Struble .
