Mmmmm Butternut Squash

Jen made some butternut squash.

It was awesome.

Abigail didn’t think so.

Nope. Didn’t like it one bit.

She’s gotten smart too. She’ll just hold it there in her mouth. She won’t close, lick or swallow – just leave it there hanging on her tongue, lip or wherever we managed to get it.

Lucky for us we’re parents and (only) slightly smarter. We put a bottle near her and she can’t pass it up. That nipple goes in her mouth with everything else and the milk washes it all down. Unfortunately bottled breast milk is in limited supply around here (Stonyfield hasn’t quite got that worked out for us.).

At least we got a picture of her teeth. Click on the image and you’ll see her little white chompers in the middle at the bottom.

As far as the food goes, who knows? I guess we’ll keep trying. It would suck if we got a fussy eater. Jen and I eat anything. We love all kinds of things. Not sure what we’d do if Abigail was a chicken-nugget only kind of girl. That could pose a problem with sweetbread kind of parents.
