Infant PFD Cont.
Not one to give up easily, I tried another life jacket session with Abigail. This time I waited till she was happy and having fun and only tried the one that semi-worked earlier.
We started out nice and slow. First she just laid on top of it. After a while of that, I put her arms through the arm slots and left her that way for a while. So far so good.
Time to buckle up.
Went ok. Lasted longer than earlier in the day, but ultimately ended with unhappiness. I think the main problem is she can’t get her arms back around in front of her where she likes them. When she tries, it just pushes the padding in and against her face. It’s her hands she wants at her face, not some weird padding stuff.
That being said, I’m not sure her arms are going to grow long enough before Memorial Day Weekend to make this happen (that was sarcasm. of course they’re not), but maybe I’ll still try (as Jen says, I’m determined).
