Here's the beginning of one of the crevasses. Again you can see the wind/sand marks on the sides of the
rocks.


What was really cool were the criss crossing crevasses to the main one. They were narrower (we had to
go through them sidways), but passable.


Near the exit of the main one, the sand on the ground was sculpted like dunes on a beach.

The feature on the left is called backpacker rock. I guess it looks like a backpacker.


The park recommends carrying about a gallon of water per person per day when backpacking in the park.
We averaged about 2 liters per person per day.  David was showing off his cool nalgene canteen with a
hose.  It later leaked on him.  We did find water the second day, so our rations went up to about 3 liters a
day. The first day was kind of dry at only 2.
