The dance studio held a competition (promotion
really) this fall. The top five winners would be treated to dinner
and dancing at a suprise location. As hard as we tried (even through
the time of our wedding), we fell short of the top five. Luckily in
that time we met some really nice people who did win and were
single. They invited us as their guests to the party, which
turned out to be an evening on the Spirit of Philadelphia
.
As bad as this picture is, I
had to include it. It makes me laugh everytime. On the right is our
instructor Alyson. On the left is Barbara. The owner of the
studio. There were in the middle of some kind of sing-along or
something when I snapped this
shot.
Just as we finished our
dinners, the DJ played a foxtrot to which we all ran to the dance
floor and did. Everyone else on the boat watched in awe as we
trotted around. The staff (singers and dj) weren't so amused. During
dinner and throughout the cruise they had live singers
performing song and dance routines until the dance floor
was "officially" opened for everyone to use. Not really sure why
they had the entertainers. It's not like they were bad.
I just didn't see the point or
entertainment value.
Now the dance floor was open to everyone. And
yes that guy is wearing an Eagles jersey under a
sport coat. To Jen's right is Diana. One of the
winners that invited us as their
date.

instructor.
The group on the
upper deck watching the dancing downstairs. The dance floor was
incredibly hot. You had to escape once in a while to cool
off.
