There was
a tent platform along the edge of the pond, where we took a
break before heading back down

The trail
crossed the top of the Smugglers Notch ski
resort.

The sign
speaks for itself, though it would be funny to do this hike in
winter - come out across the top of the mt. in your snowshoes
as all the skiers slide off the chair
lift.

View down
the ski
slope.

Unfortunately
the trail is closed in winter to hiking.
Not sure why.
I guess the skiers wouldn't feel so cool knowing you hiked
your ass up there, while they road the
lift.

Heading
back down.
We made it finally. Thankfully there
was a nice bar in town to feed our hungry bellies, quench our thirsts and help us remember our
three and a half hour hike as somewhat pleasant.
