And CJ found a snack. If there's ever
anything nasty or smelly along a trail, CJ is sure to find
it.
We'd been out a while, so we let the dogs
snack a little.
Gretchen devoured at least one bone,
tried to take CJs then moved onto another in the few
minutes we were sitting along the lake.
She obviously still had too much energy,
so we had a little Chuck-It session. The Chuck-it is pretty
cool. Not only can you wing the ball half-way into its own
orbit, but you don't have to touch the slobbery thing. It also
discourages tug-of-war with the dog. For some reason they just
don't seem interested in grabbing the handle and trying to
yank your arm out with it.

Gretchen loves fetch.
Slowly we're working her up to
fetching/swimming.
Today was her first. She did really
well.
Obviously
she didn't mind the water at all. CJ was always very
particular about water and refused to swim if his life didn't
depend on it.
Now she smells like pond water. Oh well.
At least she was exhausted for the rest of the day. Enough
that we could paint some baseboards without worrying she'd get
into the paint.
I really need to do something with
my hair before I go out with bedhead and have my picture
taken.

There was some kind of sailing training
going on. Very pretty but also very noisy. They kept blowing
air horns for some reason. I guess to tell each other which
way to tack or something.
