It’s been seven years since we had our (Bill and I) Jeeps at Bills cabin. Ever since I put a battery in mine back in July and drove it around the yard, Bill and I had planned this trip. Unfortunately due to a heavy work load, I couldn’t actually get mine there. Oh well. One Jeep is better then none.
I did manage to get out of work early enough to get up to Bills house with enough time for the dogs to play before we headed off into the foggy ice world of north central Pennsylvania.

A nice snowy (more like ice) winter shot of the cabin.
This trip was a little different then winter trips of past. Bill’s dad drove up ahead of us to get the cabin all cozy and warm. Cozy and warm? This was Bill’s 6 year old son Josh’s first winter trip, so comfort was a little more important this time.

Josh wasn’t the only new and different thing about this trip. On past trips Bill and I have towed our Jeeps up with tow bars. Basically you bolt on a bar between your truck and your Jeep and pull it behind you. This is a pain for many reasons (removing and replacing the drive shaft and poor handling is just the beginning). On this trip, Bill got to use his Dad’s new diesel Ford and a borrowed trailer. We were like a rolling house. The Ford had everything you’d want to tow a load - electronic brakes, etc.
