Harmony Hill

Took the dogs for a nice little hike this morning in the Harmony Hill Nature Area. For the old schoolers out there, these are more commonly known as the Downingtown Trails. This was the first time for both Jen and the dogs to check out the trails.

Though I've been there so many times, I saw a lot of things I hadn't noticed before. Like this for instance.

I can't tell you how many times I've ridden over this culvert, yet had no idea it was there.

We took a classic route in from Harmony Hill Rd, across Clay/Mark and up The Center. The treachery of Clay/Mark never phased Gretchen as she ran all over the hillside chasing Chipmunks.

CJ took the conservative route and followed the trail minding the wet and slippery roots. Back down near the bottom, between two trails, Gretchen found a mud bog to run through. Her paws were splayed out wide as she circled through the muck. She came out with what looked like little black socks up to her knees. Unfortunately she was moving too fast to get a good picture.

Shortly there-after she found the creek to wash off the crud.

Then we were back to the truck and heading home - saving the rest for another day.
