Ahead of the Storm

We managed to stay mostly ahead of Irene on our trip north. A few bands of brief rain got us here and there, but it was sunny and clear when we crossed the Maine border.

Abigail did pretty good for the nine hours it took us. Once here

she ran around like a kid cooped up in a car all day.

Irene (at least what’s left of her) is supposed to hit us later today and into tonight. Shouldn’t be too bad.

My Dad (back at our house) lost power around 10pm. As of this morning it was still off. He’s got the generator going and is well stocked with gas. The storm has tapered for him, so things should be fine. Hopefully the power comes back on soon.
