Sick All Week
Lauren’s been sick all week. Started with a fever for a few days. Now it’s a nasty cough and generally feeling yuck Jen is starting to get it too. Don’t mean to sound selfish, but I’ve got way too many big things happening over the next two weeks to get sick. I hope it skips […]
Uh-Oh
Abigail burnt her chin and lip on our Daddy Daughter Camping trip this weekend. We were using metal hot dog/marshmallow sticks. She was warned they could burn if you weren’t careful. She wasn’t careful. School pictures were Monday. Oh well. The photographer offers digital touch ups. Looks like we’ll be utilizing that service. She toughed […]
Pool Is Closed
Jen is still working on the tile(we can fold the cover back for that), but the pump is off and swimming is over. – b
It Worked
The fly wheel weight on my dirt bike worked great. Whether placebo effect or actually effective, the bike felt more stable, planted and had an easier “sweet spot” to find and control in technical sections. It’s not like I’ve been riding enough this summer for it to have been me, but maybe it was? […]
Thorpe Ride
The girls and I headed up to Thorpe last Monday for a dirt bike ride. This time I did it solo – without the help of Craig. They did awesome. Their skills have significantly improved – the most important being able to stop (similar to skiing). They’re about 80% – 85% of the way there […]
121 Seaport
Our corporate headquarters is moving in 2019 from it’s current location in the suburbs of Boston to right smack downtown. They’ve signed a lease at 121 Seaport. Should be interesting. Should also be easier to get back and forth to the airport when I go up there. – b
Night Ride
Got the girls out on their dirt bikes Sunday evening and they were having such a good time that we let them convince us to ride into the dark. We put glow bracelets around their arms and handlebars, then sent them ripping into the dark. They actually managed to avoid each other and have a […]
Deck’s Done
Not completely, but damn near close. I have to cut some slivers to go at either end, but otherwise finished. Honestly there were times when I doubted I’d see this day. Glad it’s complete. – b
Pool Work Cont.
I got all the low and uneven spots leveled with scabs instead of shims. Now it’s time to lay down the decking and be done with it finally. Jen decided to wait until the water level was lowered before continuing with the tiles. In the meantime she applied herself to the annual poison ivy removal […]
