No Pellets

We’re getting into that time of year when I usually complete our pellet stock for the winter.

By this time I generally have at least 1 ton of premium pellets, then supplement with another 2 tons of lesser quality pellets.

But nobody has any.

Home Depot is completely sold out of the lesser quality pellets and they don’t know when they’re getting more.

The stove shop I get my premium pellets from have sold out 24 tons in a week. They have a waiting list for more, but you can only get on it if you’re a customer of theirs and paying full price up front for a single ton. They won’t sell me more.

I’m on the list, but I’m paying $60 more than I paid for the same pellets this summer. That will put me at a little over 2.5 tons for the winter, which should be just enough. Maybe Home Depot will get more and I can supplement if need be.

All because of last winter’s extra cold.

Good thing I have a tank full of propane as well.
