One of Those Days

mulch

Got within 2 or 3 wheel barrow fulls of mulch before I had to quit for the day. Sure I could do it now in the dark like I did everything else, but I’m done with that.

tailgate

The tailgate on my car quit opening. Just when I quit the mulch to take the girls and the dog for a quick hike, the tailgate refused to open. It’s done this before. I think it was about $100 to get it fixed.

bustedBolt

One of the T-nuts in the girls climbing wall became stripped and would not allow me to tighten or remove the hold from the wall. It left the climbing hold spinning on the wall, which is no good for little girls. This is something you see quite often in climbing gyms. To fix it I had to take that part of the wall down and cut the back of the t-nut off, so I could pull the bolt through the board and remove the hold from the wall. Then put that part of the wall back up without a t-nut for any hold in that spot.

tiedTaps

My damn “never supposed to be annoying” fancy-schmancy beer faucet started leaking. It did this a month or so ago, so I cleaned it and that seemed to fix it. I cleaned it today, but it still leaks. Come to find out, they make a rebuild kit for the seals, but a successful fix sounds like a crap shoot. The company has redesigned their supposedly “never supposed to be annoying” faucets as a new model for you to buy when the repair kit fails.

Yay.

At least Jen made a kick ass dinner, and the girls are as cute as can be – even if Lauren has a shiner.

ps. Lauren has discovered jumping. Not that she can do it, but she likes to try – especially off the couch where she crashed her eye into the coffee table.
