Roller Coaster of a Weekend

Started things off with an early exit from work on Friday to go climbing again.

That’s not me, but I did make an attempt to climb about 75% of that route. Did some more lead climbing. Screwed some things up and learned a lot. Can’t wait to go back.

Saturday was Dad and daughter day (no Spanish class this week) as Jen headed out to the last of the spring sales trying to find what last bit of clothes we can to fit Lauren. The girl will be 16 months old this week, and is already growing out of her 18 month clothes.

While Jen was away, we went to the park

That’s actually Abigail in the background climbing the caterpillar. After the park we headed to the orchard to feed the goats and pick up the milk for the next two weeks. Then back to home, lunch and naps by the time Mom came home.

Sunday started with swimming. Abigail has graduated to the next level which is swimming without me. Starting in May she’ll be in a class with just a few kids and the teacher. It’s pretty exciting and scary at the same time. I can’t believe how well she’s doing considering how terrified I was of swim lessons and pools in general until I was much older.

The rest of today was pretty much occupied by this.

The girls LOVED it.

Abigail of course was the dare devil.

Wait until you see the videos.

Lauren tried a little of her balance bike.

Abigail actually tried hers on the coaster course, but was a little too rusty having not ridden it all winter. Maybe in a week or two she’ll ditch the 4 wheel coaster for the 2 wheel version.

Jen and I got the rest of the weeds pulled and the mulch spread. It’s nice not having that pile in the driveway looming over my head.

Also got the sandbox open. Expect some fun shots of both girls loving that real soon.

I’m exhausted. 16.000 steps today equaling 7.5 miles. It’s time for bed.
