Remember at the beginning of the Whooping Cough scare the thing that got us into that was a visit to the urologist for Lauren?

This week we had our first Nephrologist appointment. Here’s what we learned.

Apparently of children with fluid in the kidney (Hydronephrosis) and extra large ureters (1% of live births), only 5% also develop kidney stones.

Lauren is of that 5%.

To determine if diet or some chemical imbalance is causing her stone(s), they took blood and will get urine samples.

Taking blood wasn’t so easy, hence the bandage on her foot (both feet actually).

Pending the results, we’ll either go back in 6 months or sooner.
