Most Unnatural
8:00 pm read a book. 8:05 pm begin with a light bounce (i.e. sitting on the exercise ball while holding her in my arms). Let Lauren know it’s bed time. 8:10 pm put her in the crib. The crying begins. I sit down next to the crib to keep my hand on her chest and […]
Lauren Eats – Again
Lauren eats a lot. She obviously likes food. Besides stinky diapers, can’t say it changes much else. See pictures from a feeding session here. – b
More and More Problems
Had the regular maintenance and much needed repair done on the pellet stove. I used the guys from a few towns over (who charge extra to drive the extra distance, though deliver 2 tons of pellets for free) again. They spent a lot of time telling me what was done wrong with the maintenance of […]
Foamy
So I have a foam issue with the pool. It’s 1 of 2 things. It’s either created by too much chemicals or an air leak. Considering I added a check valve to the line between the skimmer and the pump, I’m going with air leak. I find it hard to believe a little air can […]
Hard Night
8:45 pm – Both Abigail and Lauren down. 10:45 pm – Lauren up. 12:00 am – Jen still trying to get Lauren back to bed. Decide to let her be. See if she’ll go to sleep on her own. 12:30 am – Lauren finally asleep. 2:00 am Abigail up. “Daddy I need you! Put my […]
BooBoo Cast
After Grandma broke her wrist and got a BooBoo Cast doing the Barnyard Dance, Abigail was quite happy to get a BooBoo Cast of her own. Not quite the same in injury or remedy, but a stubbed toe, a band-aid and some tape was close enough for her. – b
Another Pool Opening
That makes 6 for 6 since we’ve owned the house. Not to imply it’s not likely to happen or even difficult to do – just marking time. Nearly rebuilt the pump again this year. Since the piss-poor skimmer job, the pump starts dry most of the time and therefor burns itself out in a relatively […]
Daddy Says No!
A few months ago I was “The One” in Abigail’s eyes. Now I’m just the one that tells her no and keeps her from doing all things fun (like running barefoot on the CCA treated splinter prone deck). Such is the life of Dad. – b
Rough Month
You can generally tell how tough a month it’s been by how few posts there were. Either too tired for the effort or just uninspired, bad months have few posts. – b
Sleep Training
By this point in Abigail’s infancy we had executed the Cry It Out Method and regained some personal time for ourselves in the evening. It didn’t necessarily help Abigail sleep through the night, but it did give us an extra hour or two of rest. So far with Lauren, not so much. Lauren’s different. As […]
