Christmas Tree 2011

Picked up our Christmas tree this past weekend.

The morning started out with a little chill in the air.

But it didn’t take long to warm up unseasonably.

Maybe it was the warmth? Maybe it was because Jen said I looked like a hoodlum? I did. Maybe it was all the guys looking for trees on the farm in loafers?  Maybe it was feeling rushed pre-preparing for the coming holiday on the day the new baby was expected to be born, but I was in a mood.

Abigail was just plain distracted. There were kids everywhere. We went early in the day to get home before lunch and her nap. Apparently that’s when all the kids (and their dads in loafers) go.

Abigail couldn’t help but watch what all the other kids were doing. Even on the tractor ride, she was completely captivated by the other kids (to our left).

Though that night before she went to bed, she relived the BIG tractor and the horse and donkey we saw along the ride. So she was paying attention and absorbing it all.

Little different than last year, as I’m sure next year will be even more.
