Sure Enough
I went outside and dug at the corner.
Looks like I found the source of the dirt and water on the inside. I was actually surprised to see the mortar between the blocks. I was expecting a gap all the way to the footer. Maybe if I dug that far, that’s what I’d find?
My first attempt at sealing it was kind of a fail.
I have this liquidy Quickcrete concrete sealer. It’s obviously too liquidy. Maybe it will stick to all the muck and provide a better surface for the next attempt? I remembered afterward I actually have some concrete caulk like stuff that should do the job.
I also fished the drain pipe at the gutter and discovered it’s clear.
Or at least clear enough.
Now that I think about it, maybe I should dig out the last two courses of block in that corner to make sure that mortar goes all the way down? It’s not like I have a ton of other things to do.
