Fort Knox
Spent some time installing more protective locks yesterday.
Yeah. We’re locking everything. Some guy yesterday suggested we’re compensating for bad parenting.
Maybe that’s it.
Maybe most kids wait till later to get into what Abigail’s getting into – later when they understand better why you tell them ‘no’ and keep them away.
Abigail doesn’t get that. Abigail see’s a shiny drawer pull and yanks.
Either way, it’s all getting locked-down.
For the most part it’s cheap, easy and nice piece of mind.
Can you tell which side I did first? That will require a redo – just for style, still perfectly functional as it is.
Yes. Even the toilet is locked.
At least we know she won’t drown (in the toilet), pull knives on her head (from the drawers at least, some parenting issues still remain with knives left on counters), or burn herself (from the stove, she still insists on touching hot light bulbs).
Makes you wonder how we’ll ever let her anything? Suppose if we sat her in front of the TV all day, we wouldn’t have such worries.

Parenting – a learning experience
What are you guys going to do when Abigail learns to use a ladder? How’s Mom doing? Where are the pics of the bump. Lots of Love, US
Exactly what you did when you found Jen climbing on the back of the chair.
