Office Move
We moved offices this week. Mostly coordinated by Jen. We out-grew our last space. The new space is big. The new space will take some getting used to. I have my own office for the first time. Not quite sure how I feel about that. No more view of a the par-3 over the pond. […]
RIP CJ
January 1996 – March 30, 2011 Yarnall came over after the ride. We let CJ out one last time, followed him to his bed and put him to sleep. I couldn’t have wanted a better way. More to come. I have 15 years of photos to dig through. – b
Brief Update
I’m sick again with vertigo also. Really sucks. Have an appointment with an ENT Dr. Thursday. Part of me wants it to stick around so the Dr. gets a good look, but most of me really wants this to go away NOW. Working like crazy. Jen’s part-time gig has gone full-time temporarily in an effort […]
Midnight Driver
After a hard week of work, we drove to West Virginia Thursday night. Traffic-wise a trip down 81 after 6pm isn’t so bad. Weary-wise six hours of driving this after all day at work isn’t so good. Spent most of Friday morning in bed. Friday afternoon my Dad rolled in with a surprise. More on […]
Thump, Thump, Thump
As I was taking a shower this morning I could hear the recently familiar thump, thump, thump of Abigail walking back and forth down the hallway. Thump, thump, thump toward the bedrooms, then thump, thump, thump back towards the kitchen. I imagined her looking for me. “Where’d he go?” “Is Dad in here?” “How about […]
Polar Bears in the ADK
Came across these guys Wednesday after our hike Wow! That’s chilly. – b
Been There, Done That
I hate that phrase. The group/heated cabin trip to the Adirondacks was a success. More later. Now I need to sleep and go to work. – b
Another Play at Home Game
Leaving tomorrow morning with a few friends for the Adirondack winter wilderness. They’re still getting lots of snow and cold. We’re actually staying in a heated cabin back in the wilderness, then making an attempt on Marcy on Wednesday. To follow along you can use this link. Should be a lot more “chatter” this trip. […]
Got My Hat
When Mark and I portaged over the first dam Saturday morning, I lost my hat in the prickers along the banks. Luckily my route to work goes right next to the dam, so this morning I stopped and got my hat. I like that hat. It’s a plain black hat. Very comfy and warm. – […]
Water Everywhere
Wednesday night, March 9th, it started raining. It rained for about 24hrs until Thursday night March 10th. In that period of time I think we got about 4″ on top of the already over saturated ground. Thursday evening we noticed the tell-tale signs of a lot of water in our basement and garage. Eh. No […]
