(Not so Free)port

Drove to Freeport earlier this week. For those that don’t know, Freeport Maine is home to L.L. Bean. For me L.L. Bean is like the Disney World of Maine. The main store(s now) is/are cool, but the outlet store, where all the returns and factory seconds are, is the coolest. In years past I’ve gotten or passed up some pretty nice gear at great prices.

Not this year.

This year their new building was open, but none of the deals were there. It was crowded with people and kids in strollers. It wasn’t fun.

Oh well. Abigail and I had fun anyway.

We took self portraits while waiting for lunch.

Then we sat in a coffee shop and ate my phone.

Phones must be good fiber, cause shortly after this shot we had a near blowout and had to be changed on the floor of the dog gear department. I had the baby, the stroller, diaper bag, a bag of purchased clothes, cup of coffee and a slobberfied phone. I grabbed a napkin, stuffed it into the leg of Abigail’s bloomer, quickly texted “Come Now” to Jen, then ran off to find a private spot to change her.

Changed and cleaned up we headed off to other adventures when we came across a photo booth. The three of us piled in and started snapping.

Not bad for a dollar.

After all kinds of running around, though only managing to see and do a third of what we normally get to, it was time to head home.

Though Abigail was fairly convincing in her ability to get us home,

nap time was quickly approaching and we couldn’t risk a narcoleptic driver.
