Went
back to Nelson Ledges. This time we
took Jeff our race photographer and met up with Marshal (old
college roommate). This was also the first weekend with the
Pit bike.
Here's
Marshall helping with a tire change. I had been running DOT's
(street tires) since the beginning of the season. It was time to
switch to race slicks.
Dave prepping his bike. That's me with the bald head. Not
sure why I did it, but I had shaved my head bald. Didn't work out so
well as there was no hair to absorb any sweat.
Here's a shot of the
baldness from the front.
Dave demonstrating the mechanical intricacies of his
two-stroke machine.
Dave and I headed out for a race or
practice.
Me
headed out for my D-Superbike race.
Ah
the pit bike. I picked this up for $200. It's basically a lawn mower
motor in some rickety frame. I paid too much for it, but it was a
lot of fun.
Jeff took some color photos of this weekend too. Here's me
leading Don Kinsey out of turn thirteen down the front
straight.
