WERA Cycle Jam VIR
June 14 - 17, 2001

The WERA Cycle Jam is a mid-season party.  First they combine a sportsman weekend with a National - that includes sport level races, endurance and National Challenge races.  Then they have other festivities, contests, bands, etc. happening around the track. VIR is a perfect place for this with its rolling fields and spacious park like setting.  My dad came out for this one.

Here's me rolling through turn three.

Here's a picture of our pit area. Dave had two TZ125s and was trying to sell the second one.

This was a weekend of modifications for my bike. In addtion to having the suspension reworked by Thermosman Suspensions,
I replaced my regular sized radiator with a larger one from a larger bike. Here's Bill Cole working on some coolant pipe
modifications to get the radiator to work on my bike. The two clowns behind him are Tom and Charlie.

Here's Charlie lending Bill a hand.

The Mad Racing Viking again. There must have been beer around.

This is a panoramic shot of pit lane before the endurance race.

There's nothing worse then getting all suited up for a race, do your warm up lap and realize while you're gridding for your race, you have to
use the bathroom. It was common practice for Dave and I to jump in the trailer and use a bottle real quick before heading out. Dave decided
(for some reason) we needed to document this practice.

This is a zoom in shot of the turn three picture from above.

A picture of me heading down the roller coaster - a downhill section that starts with a sharp off-camber right
hand turn that goes into a left hand turn then heads straight down into another right hander. One of tricky-fun
features of VIR.
