Summit Point, WV

The first Mid Atlantic WERA race for the 2001 season was at Summit Point, Wv. For Dave and I this was our third race weekend so far that year. The season had just started and we felt as if we'd been half-way through it already. 

Jen had caught the motorcycling bug and bought herself a Kawasaki Ninja 250. It's a great little bike. We brought it to the track to practice and ride around when there wasn't racing going on.

This was the first weekend for my new leathers. I got a full suite with perforations for cooling when it got hot. The new leathers went well with my bike. Here I am leading another guy through turn one.

In Daytona, Dave picked himself some new leathers. He got some nice Vanson designer skins.  New boots too. He might look really fast in this picture, but it's really just the new duds. This is turn three at Summit Point.

Here's Dave almost getting a knee down in turn nine. Between his bike setup and style, Dave hardly dragged much on the track. I was constantly going through toe sliders, knee pucks and bodywork.
