My long time
friend Tracy married her significant other Ross in Burlington, VT
the first weekend
of October in the fall of 2003 . Being the hight of the fall colors for
the Northeast, Jen and I drove up a day earlier and stayed at a
B&B on the northwest side of Mt. Washington in New Hampshire.
That night it snowed. I think the top of the mountain got 6". We
spent the morning driving around the mountain checking out the
sights, then drove that afternoon to Burlington. In the evening was
a cusual outdoor "get together" near Tracy and Ross's home on the
lake (Lake Champlain). It was freezing. We had on every layer we
brought and still couldn't get warm standing by the fire.
On
Saturday was the wedding. The original plan was to hike to the top
of Mt. Mansfield where the ceremony would be. Due to snow and
uncooperative weather, the hike and ceremony was held on a smaller
mt. (actually just a hill) south of Burlington. Some of us diehards
hiked to the top anyway. The guy in the kilt is Tracy's father.

At the top was a little cabin
where the ceremony was held. Ross and Tracy changed clothes while
the rest of us
were seranaded
by a bagpipe player.

The reception was held on a
boat docked in Lake Champlain. Each table had to come up with a song
with the word love in it and
sing it for the bride and
groom.

Hanging with Tracy.

The weather cleared just
enough to get in a
few
shots.
